I never write reviews, let alone good ones. But this place is AMAZING!! I have been obsessed with their garlic noodles and bbq pork. I've gotten it once a week for the past 2 months and it is perfect every single time. I don't know what else to say besides it's my favorite meal in all of Sonoma county and I can't stop eating it. 10/10 would eat again and again.
OMG - what a lucky find! The place is big and you won't smell like food! Employees were friendly and prompt! I was "hangry" so I opted to get the BBQ Beef Short Ribs rice plate. I was so hungry and we were so tight with time that my friends and I just ate our food once we got them. And they were fast. The portions were gigantic! It was kinda bad that I ate that rice plate that fast but it was so good - well worth it. My friends loved their food too. One got pho and again, both enjoyed it. Well worth checking out if you're hungry and craving for a good Vietnamese restaurant!
Had lunch with my niece and we both ordered the vermicelli bowls. Super tasty and fresh. Large portions. Staff is friendly and attentive
I was in town by myself needing a delicious dinner. I saw this was nearish to my hotel so called in an order. Walked in to pick up and this place was hopping. It's well liked for a reason. Oh my this was delicious. I will definitely be back. I love the vermicelli bowls but also want to try more items !!
Simmer has been a go-to restaurant for me since the location is perfect for meeting my friends or family from another town! I've had the Cabbage Salad with Grilled Shrimp, Curry Chicken and Chicken Pho Noodles, and all were absolutely delicious! They are so friendly and attentive to the customers, have outdoor seating, and the prices are hard to beat!
Simmer has apparently gained recognition from San Francisco Chronicle as a top Vietnamese restaurant in the North Bay in 2013. We stopped in to try a few dishes during their weekday lunch rush. Ordered the spring rolls with pork and shrimp ($12.50), salt & pepper chicken wings ($8), Cabbage salad with lemongrass chicken ($16), Cabbage salad with grilled prawns, and a Pork Vermicelli bowl. All the dishes were nicely made and flavorful. Tasted pretty authentic to me, and my friends. We'll be coming back the next time we're in the area. This is 1 of 2 locations they have (Rohnert Park and Petaluma). This spot is nestled a Safeway grocery shopping plaza with plenty of parking.
Man. This place is delish. Definitely a hidden gem. Brought my two youngest to check this spot out for the first time tonight. Came hungry leaving perfectly full and happy. Don't sleep on them - come eat!!
